Hey boxing fans, have you heard the latest news. The jujge that sentenced Mayweather, said that he doesnt have to start serving time until june, so that he can fullfill his contract obligations. ( a possible fight whith him and Pacman ). But i guesse Bob Arum says no. What is his reason ? Supposibly a cut that Pacman got in his last fight. Now we all know, that it doesnt take 8 months for a cut to heal. I dont know about you guys, but im sick of this bullshit. I know if they dont fight this year, i might not want to see it anymore.
Shytan I agree at first it was Floyd not wanting to sign arum and Manny signed,but after the Olympic style demand was finally accepted it went to usda. And owed IRS millions and lost a house and some cars when he was retired so he came back to boxing and still has lawsuits against him,Floyd has said he will not fight no one for under 20 million but his options are limited he can not make that against no one but Manny,if he fights Lamont Peterson,Bertie or even Sergio Martinez HBO and showtime would not pay that kind of money. Manny mad under 15 million for marquez,and Floyd and Manny are not getting any younger so arum and golden. Boy must make this fight if not boxing is in trouble from a financial. Point Floyd needs fight more for reasons stated above if they fight after their pay. Plain and simple – Mayweather is afraid to fight Pacquaio, cause he knows Manny can win. He’s waiting for him to continue to age and be less of a threat in the ring. It would be the fight of the century if both were in their prime… We’ll see how it all turns out, but if I were a betting man, my money would be on Manny Pacquaio. Not only is he a great fighter, but he has class, compassion and respect for people both in the ring and out. Mayweather is a good fighter, but with his huge ego and big mouth he falls short of the mark – both in the ring and out. Sorry, but sometimes the truth hurts. I want to ask everyone a question, and be realistic. If Mayweather and Pacquio could fight in may, and you had to put you money on one of them, which one of them would you pick ? I think in order for Pacquio to beat Mayweather, he would either have to knock him out, or knock him down atleast twice, which is easier said then done. I dont see him outboxing Mayweather.

Robert, you said that Zab Juda nocked Floyed down. I watched that fight, i dont recall that happening, execpt when Zab hit Floyd below the belt. Manny Pacquio may have beat more champs then Mayweather, but he has more fights and fights more often than Mayweather, that explains that. There is a reason why some analyst have Floyd as p4p best. If you take those calculations you are talking about, equal them out as an equation, and look at the percentages, Floyd has the edje slitly. Floyds winning percentage is slightly higher than Pacmans. Acording to compu box numbers, Pacquio throws more punches but Mayweather has a higher connect rate than Pac. Although alot of that is becuase Mayweather throws less punches. First of all, get your facts strait. Im not one of those who believe Marquese won the fight whith Pacquio. I never said that. I think Pacquio did win the fight, barely. My whole point is Mayweather slaughtered Marquese, and Pacquio did not. I dont know if this is a good thing or not, but Mayweather is one of those people that seams to tick to his own clock. It doesnt seem to bother him that alot of people have branded him a coward. As far as him ducking fights, you have to remember something. Becuase of his competitive spirit, and wanting to remain #1 he does pick and choose his fights strategicly. But alot of boxers managers do the same for there fighter. Alot of people dont like the way that Mayweather manages his self, becuase it doesnt apear that he is doing it for the fans. Manny Pacquioa is a boxer/brawler, with alot of power. This explains why he has so many nock outs. Mayweather is more of a boxer/counter puncher, this explains why he has lest nock outs then Manny. Usuly when you put a boxer/brawler up againts a very skilled boxer/counter pucher, the very skilled counter pucher wins. You will see this through out history. Alis vs Foreman , Leonard vs Hagler etc. Rather you like mayweather or dislike mayweather and disagree whith his tactics, the experts who crucnch the numbers, still favor Mayweather over Pacquioa if they fight, and for good reason. I agree whtih you that Pacquio always shows up, he is a true champion, but Pacquio doesnt manage him self, so he is going to fight who ever you put in front of him. It is also true that Pacquio beat Delyahoya better than Floyd, and knocked out Hatton quicker than Floyd. But once again Pacquio is a brawler, Mayweather is a counter puncher. This explains why he has so many knock outs. But when he fought Deloyaha , Deloyaha was on his way out the door anyway. I think he ( Deloyah ) was just there to get a check. Same whith Mosley. Neither one of them even tried to fight Pacquio in my opinion. But of them tried to take Mayweathers head off, and you see what happend. I grew up watching fighters like sugar ray leonard, Hearns, Haglaur Mike Tyson, etc. I also use to look at old films of Ali, Foreman, joe Frazior, Sunny Liston, Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Marciano, Joe Luis, Ray Boom Boom Mancini etc. Coming from that prospective, I dont see Manny Pacquioa winning in a fight whith Floyd Mayweather.

I think they are afraid of each other.. to a certain degree since both of them have the capabilities of beating each other up. Floyd is definitely afraid to lose his “0.” And Manny is also afraid of losing this one fight with Floyd. This fight will determine who is the best P4P. This is big! No matter what you think.. this fight is huge and it has to happen. This fight will put boxing back on the mainstream.. bigger than any UFC or MMA fight combined. Then theres issues about money. The same test that Mayweather requires his opponents to take, is the same test that he takes himself. The agreement in the contract is that both fighters take the test. I disagree my friend. Delahoya doen not have the defensive skills, or counter punching capabilities that Mayweather has. When Pacquio moves forward he will be playing into Mayweathers hands. He Pacquio moves backwards , he will be alowing Mayweather to dictate the fight. I believe this fight is a much bigger mitch match than people think. Also you must remember something, not only is Mayweather better than Marquese, he is faster, and biger witch means he probably hits harder than Marquese. What does this mean for Pacquio ? This is my round for round preditcion of a Mayweather/Pacquio fight.
Round 1-4 For the fists four rounds, Manny would be the busier fighter throwing more punches, while Floyd would be the more acurate puncher landing more power shots. Pacquio would throw a variety of punches, while Mayweathers main punches would be the left jab, the right hand, body punch, and ocasiaonal left hook.
Round 5-8 By the 5th round Mayweathers acurate punching will start to take effect on Pacquio. This will cause Manny to fatige and slow down a bit. Once this happens Pacquio will start to make mistakes, and Mayweather will capitolize on these mistakes. Manny will hit the canvas atleast twice whithin these three rounds, but he will get up and continue to fight like the worrior that he is.
Round 9 By the ninth round Paquio will have taken alot of damage and the doctors or Pacmans corner may stop the fight.
Round 10-12 If the fight is not stoped in the 9th round, then Mayweather will continue to outbox Paquio cruising to a victory.

ok boxing fans, i want to talk about the politics of boxing. here is the deal. Bob Arum who is Manny Pacquiao manager use to manage Floyd Mayweather back in the day. Arum and Mayweather never got along, and they could never see eye to eye. This is the reason why Mayweather manages his self today. And to this day, they still do not like each other. Arum was the first one to put the propaganda out there that Mayweather was afraid to fight Pacquiao, and since then, this perception has went viral and spread like wild fire. Another thing that fuels this fire is the fact that alot of people love Pacquiao, and dislike Mayweather becuase of his character and demeaner. But there is something that i have noticed. Every time there seams to be some progress toward making this fight happen, Bob Arum (Pacquiaos manager) always puts negative propaganda out there to the media, as to make it sound like this fight could never happen. I dont think the Pacquiao camp is concerned with fighting mayweather becuase if they never fight, Pacquiao can retire whith people all over the world believing that he is a better fighter than Mayweather. On the flip side, if Mayweather retires without this fight happening, he will be pegged as the fighter who was afraid to fight Pacquiao. Bob Arum knows this. The truth of the matter is this. Geting past all the bullshit, statisticaly, mathmaticaly, and common since wise Mayweather is a better boxer than Pacquio. If they were ever to fight , the odds would greatly be in Mayweathers favor, and he (Mayweather) would most likely come out on top. In this regard we can give examples of some MP opponents who were unarguably more skilled than him. Barrera, Moralles, marquez, and mosley were all technically better but they did not dominate MP like it should be. Well the JMM-MP previous 2 fights were close but JMM did not dominate MP convincingly.
FMJ was undefeated, but did FMJ fought a fullybuilt WW champ on his prime? Well to review some of his fights in the last 5 years the most formidable so far was Mosley at age 37, who has been beaten by Cotto and dominated by MP better than FMJ did.
FMJ fought Judah, who came from a lost with the 35 year old Baldomir who never had a belt before despite his age.
Baldomir never lost for 10 years before FMj but its was his 1st title and 2nd defence against Floyd.

JMM obviously came from 135 lbs came up to 144lbs for the 1st time against FMJ and was cheated 2 lbs by FMJ.
Mosley was the most formidable, but at the age of 37, its not surprising he could not last a long great fight.
Ortiz was very strong, but as we know he just won his 1st belt via a survival fight against berto. He was too raw for his 1st defence against a 6X world champion.

Comparing Pacquiao and Mayweather is like comparing mangoes with apples. While Mayweather came from a family of boxers, i.e., his father the Sr., uncle/trainer Roger Mayweather and another uncle were all professional boxers. The harshness of life did not kill Pacquiao but made him stronger instead. The incredible part of Pacman’s life is that he was able to excel in the sport of boxing despite that it was not exactly his choice. Under these given circumstances, who is the greater man based on what both fighters have undergone in life? Pacquiao’s choice of boxing is purely coincidental,while in the case of Mayweather boxing is in his veins.

I believe that both are two great fighters. Not a fan of mayweather by no means. But i still think he is a great fighter. I just wish that Floyd would cut the BS and fight pacquiao and show us hes a better fighter, but with that said i dont think the fight will ever happen. Its not that i think that Pacquiao is afraid to fight Mayweather, its just that in order for him to fight mayweather he,ll have to submit to the olympic style drug test which he does not want to do. Considering all the cartio and running boxers have to do to stay in shape to box, this is very difficult to do without enhancment drugs. One thing that enhacment drugs do is increase the red blood cells in a persons body, which gives them more strength and stamina which is also benificul to fighters. It does make a big difference. monica, Pacpuio and mayweather have not come to an agreement on the terms of the drug test. mayweather want pacuio to submit to the same olympic style drug test that he (mayweather) takes. Also delyhoya, mosley, ortiz, marquese, and alot of other took the same test under the same terms to fight mayweather. Pacquio said he would take the test, but not whithin two weeks of the fight. In my opinion, that gives him (pacquio) two weeks to dope up for the fight. This is what is holding the fight up.

How can you expect Pacquio to beat mayweather when he struggles with Marquese. Did you see the fight with mayweather and Marquese ? Mayweather walked all over him. Yes Mayweather does have a tendancy to lean forward, but Pacquio can only fight moving forward, he cant fight moving backwards. Mayweather loves fighters to move forward. When ever Pacquio moves forward i think mayweather will punish him with the jab or that right hand that he likes to through. If Pacquio moves backwards Mayweather will force him to fight in a way in which he is neither comfortable or good at. Pacquio is a brawler that likes to through punches in bunches, but Mayweather has the best defense in boxing. becuase of this, alot of those punches that Pacquio throws would not connect. Everyone needs to educated themselves on what happened during the negotiations for this fight. Mediation was brought in and an agreement to no testing within 14 days of the fight were supposedly agreed upon. Manny and his camp balked at that. They didn’t sign stating that they wanted an 18 day no testing window. The second so called negotiations never took place and Bob Arum is to blame for all that hype.

To be honest I believe all this is staged and controlled by the boxing federation to hype things up. These are the 2 top remaining boxers they have left. Honestly who would you want to see fight after these two guys duke it out? If anything I doubt either fighter will win without a unanimous decision regardless of who wins, soon after a re-match will probably be announced.
Joe Calzarghe retired 49-0 and he’s not even considered to be in the top ten best UK all time boxers. If Floyd thinks that his record will be what carries his legacy he is mistaken… People remember what you do outside of the ring more than what you do in it.
Everyone needs to look at this one simple fact. Manny’s number one rival is Marquez every time they meet it is a match of who is the better brawler. All of their matches were extreamly close and up for serious debate on who won those matches. When Marquez fought Floyed it was an extremely easy win for Floyed. Boxers 85 % of the time always fair better agonist brawlers. Manny is a great fighter, but when you look at the simple facts that Floyed only got hit a total of 139 times for a 12 round fight agonist Marquez. Marquez hit Manny 343 times in a 12 round match. While Manny hit Marquez 314 times and yes Manny still won by split decision( Process those number) . But the fact of the matter is Floyed is better at not getting hit better than any other boxer in history including Manny so I do not believe this will be a easy fight of Manny. Judging both fighters styles Manny will have to do a more than Floyed to win. And I will leave with this Offence wins game Defense wins championships. Defense: Pacquaio can take big guys’ jabs and Mayweather too. Mayweather mostly used his elbow for defense. And this must be change by Mayweather or he may end up with broken elbow if he fight Pacquiao.
