Persistent Myths About the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao Super Bout:
1. March 13 is a date too soon for Pacman in the wake of his earbusting victory over Miguel I’m No Angel Cotto: This is poppycock and cannot be used as an excuse if Pacquiao loses this bout. When the great Ray Robinson fought Jake LaMotta twice in march of 1943, the 10-rounders (both went the limit) were 21 days apart. LaMotta won on points and then Sugar Ray took a decision.
2. Manny can’t win by decision. Who says and why not? Of course he can but the outcome of the bout depends on the Pinoy Idol getting Whippett Floyd to engage in some punchswapping. If it’s a 36 minute dance recital for Floyd and Manny can’t turn it into a hell ride at any point(s), then Mayweather figures to win on the scorecards.
3. Coach Roach’s steady presence provides a big edge for Manny. Roger Mayweather may not be the classiest individual but he’s fought the likes of legendary Julio Cesar Chavez and he knows his nephew like a book. Besides, L’il Floyd is on autopilot anyway. In terms of preflight prep, yes Roach has an edge but Mayweather trains like a demon so things even out.
4. Peons would’ve gotten more ticket access in Texas as opposed to the MGM Grand. This is true although the scalpers would still get the choice locations from the promoters leaving Joe Six Pack with binocular section seats. Yea, I know about Jerry Jones super TV screen but what’s the difference between watching the fight that way in the stadium or on closed circuit in Vegas or, better yet, on your living room couch? Ringside is spoken for at either venue before tickets go on sale.
5. Mayweather is impossible to KO. No, he’s not and neither is Pacman. Using his safety first and time tested jab and dash tactics and his famous shoulder rolls, Mayweather is extremely hard to tag. But, if Pacman does tag him, make no mistake, Mayweather will be IT.
6. This is a once in a lifetime event. Yes, it will be but so much money will be made that an immediate rematch is a certainty and don’t be surprised, if Pacquiao steals a victory in Chapter 1 or Chapter 2, that we see Chapter 3. All you need is some dispute, some element of controversy, to get to a third bout even if one guy wins the first two fights.

i thnk pacman critics need this kind of issue coz they cn only beat pacman thru this, when the fight comes nd lil floyd get tko im sure youll all be sucked
